Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Aksara, operated by Echoforge. By creating an account, publishing a store, buying a product, or otherwise using Aksara, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be legally able to enter this agreement and at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live.

Aksara provides creator storefronts, digital product pages, payment connections, order records, and digital delivery tools. Aksara is not a marketplace that promises discovery, traffic, buyers, or sales.

Aksara is a software platform, not the seller or reseller of creator products. Each creator controls their listing, price, license, refund policy, and customer relationship.

We may change, suspend, or stop features when needed to operate, secure, or improve the service.

Creators are responsible for their account security, store content, product claims, prices, license terms, customer support, and compliance with laws that apply to their business and buyers.

Public store content must be accurate. You may not impersonate another person, misrepresent what a buyer receives, manipulate reviews or sales claims, or use Aksara for unlawful, deceptive, or abusive activity.

Creator payments are direct charges on the creator's connected Stripe account. The creator is the merchant of record, meaning the creator is the business the buyer pays for that transaction. Stripe may require identity, business, tax, or bank information and may restrict, delay, or reject an account under its own rules. Aksara does not store full bank or card details.

Starter has no monthly charge and an 8% Aksara fee. Growth costs $19 per month with a 3% Aksara fee. Scale costs $59 per month with a 1% Aksara fee. Stripe processing fees are separate.

If a creator issues a partial or full refund, the Aksara fee attributable to the refunded amount is returned proportionally. Stripe processing fees, dispute fees, currency conversion, and other Stripe charges follow the creator's Stripe agreement.

Creators are responsible for determining tax obligations, registrations, product tax treatment, collection settings, invoices, returns, filings, and records that apply to their sales unless applicable law assigns a specific duty to Aksara. Stripe Tax is enabled only when the creator's connected account is configured for it. Aksara does not claim to remit seller taxes and does not provide tax, accounting, or legal advice.

Creators keep ownership of the products and content they upload. By uploading content, a creator grants Aksara a non-exclusive license to store, process, display, and deliver that content only as needed to operate the service and fulfill purchases.

A buyer receives the license shown on the product page at the time of purchase. Unless the seller clearly grants broader rights, a purchase does not transfer copyright or permission to resell, redistribute, share, or publish the files.

Buyers must provide accurate payment and email information. Payment is processed by Stripe. Access is issued only after payment is confirmed through the payment system.

Digital products are normally delivered immediately after confirmed payment. The product page shows the creator's refund policy before checkout. If an order is not delivered, materially differs from the product description, contains corrupt files, is duplicated, was not authorized, or is affected by fraud, contact the creator through the secure purchase area. Refund rights required by law still apply. Creators can issue full or partial refunds through Aksara, and Stripe or a card issuer may separately handle disputes or chargebacks.

Download access is personal to the buyer and may be rate-limited or revoked for abuse, unauthorized sharing, fraud, a refund, or a chargeback.

Growth and Scale are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically until canceled. The checkout page shows the total monthly price before purchase. Plan upgrades take effect after Stripe confirms payment and may include an immediate prorated charge. Downgrades and cancellations normally take effect at the end of the paid billing period. A canceled or unpaid plan returns to Starter without removing the seller's products, orders, support history, or exports.

A creator can cancel through billing settings and the Stripe customer portal. Subscription charges are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly approved by Aksara. Canceling prevents future renewal but does not itself request a refund for the current period.

You may not use Aksara to sell or distribute:

• Content you do not own or have permission to sell.
• Illegal goods, malware, stolen data, fraud tools, or instructions intended to cause harm.
• Content that exploits children, promotes non-consensual sexual material, or targets protected groups with violence.
• Products that make deceptive medical, financial, income, or performance claims.
• Anything prohibited by Stripe or the payment networks used for the transaction.

The detailed Prohibited Products Policy is part of these terms. It may be updated as payment-network rules, law, or the pilot scope changes.

We may remove products, pause delivery, suspend stores, preserve evidence, or cooperate with lawful requests when needed to address risk or violations.

Aksara responds to valid notices of claimed infringement and has a policy for terminating repeat infringers. Notices and counter-notices must include the information described in the Copyright and Takedown Policy. We may remove or disable access while a claim is reviewed.

A creator receives buyer information needed to fulfill and support the sale. Creators may use that information only for delivery, requested support, transaction records, legal obligations, and communications the buyer requested. A purchase does not provide consent for unrelated marketing.

Stripe may place reserves, delay payouts, debit a connected balance, request information, or restrict payment capability under its agreement with the creator. A creator remains responsible for refunds, disputes, chargebacks, negative balances, and evidence related to the creator's sales. Aksara may restrict checkout or delivery when payment, fraud, safety, or legal risk requires it.

You may request account deletion from settings. Financial, order, refund, dispute, abuse, and tax records may be retained where required for legal obligations, fraud prevention, accounting, buyer support, or enforcement. Public store access can be removed before retained records are deleted or anonymized.

Stripe, Supabase, Cloudflare, Railway, Brevo, PostHog, sign-in providers, and other service providers may have terms and privacy policies that also apply to their services. Aksara is not responsible for a third-party service's independent acts, outages, or decisions.

Creators promise that their products, listings, marketing, licenses, and use of buyer data comply with law and do not violate another person's rights. To the extent permitted by law, a creator will defend and reimburse Echoforge and Aksara for third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs caused by the creator's product, conduct, tax obligations, infringement, or breach of these terms.

Aksara is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, sales, income, search placement, file compatibility, or permanent availability of third-party services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Echoforge is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability for claims connected to the service is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid directly to Aksara during the 12 months before the claim.

We may suspend or terminate access for material violations, fraud, payment risk, legal requirements, or threats to other users or the service. We may update these terms and will provide notice when a change is material.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Delaware have jurisdiction unless applicable consumer law requires another forum.

If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the remaining terms still apply. Rights that by their nature should continue after termination, including payment, license, intellectual property, record retention, disclaimer, liability, and indemnity terms, will continue.
