Terms of Service

Acceptance

By creating an account or using Aksara, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Aksara is operated by Echoforge, a Delaware company.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Aksara. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to use any email address or OAuth account you use to sign in.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Aksara to:

• Post content that is illegal, defamatory, threatening, or that violates anyone else's intellectual property rights.
• Impersonate another person or create a misleading profile.
• Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from Aksara without our written permission.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems.
• Send spam or unsolicited messages to other users.
• Use the service in a way that disrupts or degrades performance for other users.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these rules and to suspend or terminate accounts where there is clear misuse.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at fabio@echoforge.to. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access caused by your failure to keep credentials secure.

Aksara Pro: subscriptions and billing

Aksara Pro is a paid subscription. Current pricing is available at aksara.so/pricing.

• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, depending on your plan) until you cancel.
• Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your billing portal. Cancelling stops future charges. You retain Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Refunds. We do not issue pro-rated refunds for unused time in the current billing period. If you have a problem with a charge, email fabio@echoforge.to and we will handle it case by case.
• Price changes. If we change the price of your current plan, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the new price takes effect. Your subscription will continue at the old price until the notice period expires.
• Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms at stripe.com/legal.

Intellectual property

You own the content you create and publish on Aksara: your bio, project descriptions, images, and links.

By publishing content on Aksara, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, serve, and cache that content for the purpose of operating the service. This includes serving your public profile to visitors and generating preview images.

Aksara, its logo, and all software are owned by Echoforge. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software without permission.

Public profiles

Your Aksara profile is public by default. Anyone can view it at aksara.so/username. Do not publish content on your profile that you would not want to be publicly visible. If you delete your account, your profile is removed from public view promptly, though cached versions may persist in search engines or external caches outside our control.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund any unused portion of a prepaid annual subscription.

Disclaimer of warranties

Aksara is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Echoforge and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of (or inability to use) Aksara. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these terms will be resolved in the courts of Delaware.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If the changes are material, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before they take effect, or we will display a prominent notice in the app. Continuing to use Aksara after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
