How to price your first digital product
4 min read
A first price does not have to be perfect. It has to be clear enough that you can put the product in front of real buyers and learn whether the offer makes sense.
Start from the buyer's saved effort
A template that removes two hours of spreadsheet setup, a classroom pack that saves a Sunday afternoon, or a route that saves a day of travel research has practical value. Price against that outcome, not the number of pages in the PDF.
Keep the checkout simple
For Aksara's launch, each product has one price and one seller-selected license. That keeps the decision short. You can use a personal, commercial, or extended license summary, but do not make buyers decode a pricing maze.
Aksara fees and Stripe processing fees are separate. Starter has no monthly fee and an 8% Aksara fee. Growth and Scale trade a monthly plan for lower Aksara fees.
Use the digital product pricing calculator to compare costs and first-month break-even sales.
