USD only. Fees round per order. Break-even covers creation cost, one monthly plan charge and other monthly costs, using the same price and processing inputs for every sale. Taxes, refunds, disputes, advertising per sale, currency conversion and separate payout charges are excluded. This is a planning estimate, not a payout or demand forecast. Your inputs stay in this browser tab.
A price is a scenario you can test
This digital product pricing calculator estimates what remains after the costs you enter. Use it for a PDF, travel guide, worksheet or preset pack. It compares current Aksara plans and accepts your own processing rate. It does not choose an optimal price or predict how many people will buy.
How the break-even calculation works
Per-sale contribution = product price minus the Aksara transaction fee and your entered processing fee. First-month break-even sales = creation cost plus other monthly costs plus one plan charge, divided by per-sale contribution and rounded up.
For illustration, a $20 download on Starter leaves $18.40 per sale before processing. A $100 creation cost takes 6 sales to recover if there are no other costs. At 10 sales, $84 remains after that creation cost. Processing starts at zero in the calculator; add your real rate before making a decision.
Creation cost can include the hours you spent, valued at a rate you choose, plus design or editing costs. It is included once here. In a later month, set it to zero if you already recovered it. Aksara's platform fee and Stripe's processing fee are separate.
Compare prices without assuming the same demand
Try several prices and download the comparison for each. A higher price at the same sales count produces more revenue, but the sales count may change. Test the offer with your actual audience and record what buyers ask about the contents, compatibility and price.

How do I calculate break-even sales for a digital product?
Subtract the platform and processing fees from the product price to find the per-sale contribution. Divide creation cost, monthly costs and one plan charge by that contribution, then round up. If contribution is zero or negative, that scenario cannot break even.
Does the calculator include payment processing fees?
It includes the processing percentage and fixed fee you enter. Both start at zero, so enter your actual rate. Aksara platform fees and payment processing fees are separate costs.
Does the calculator tell me the best price to charge?
No. It compares cost and sales assumptions. It does not measure demand, predict sales or guarantee profit. Test different offers and prices with your own audience.
Can I embed the calculator in my blog?
Yes. The blogger kit provides a free iframe embed. The widget needs no signup and contains no cookies or analytics. Attribution is optional.
