My file upload failed

Check the file, connection and saved draft before trying again.

Updated October 3, 2026

The 30-second answer

Keep the saved draft. Check the error, file type and file size, then retry the affected file. A pending safety check is different from an upload failure; uploading the same file repeatedly will not finish that check.

Check what failed

An upload error means the file transfer or save did not complete. A safety check in progress means the file needs scanning before publication. Read the message beside the affected file so you do not repeat a successful upload.

Check the file before retrying

Use a supported digital file and keep each file within the 250 MB upload limit. If the file is corrupt or cannot be opened, repair it first. Encrypted archives cannot pass the safety check. Do not change a file extension to bypass validation.

Resume the existing draft

Return to your saved draft in Products. Check which files are already present, then retry only the missing or failed file with a stable connection. Wait for the upload to finish before continuing. Repeatedly starting new products makes the problem harder to track.

If it still fails

Contact support with the file type, size, exact error and the step that failed. Do not attach a paid product file unless support requests it. A failed safety check needs review; it is not resolved by approving the preview.

What success looks like

The intended file appears in your saved draft. It can publish only after its safety check passes.

Common questions

Is my draft lost if I close the tab?

Saved setup progress is resumable. Reopen the existing draft and check the file list. A transfer that never completed may need to be repeated.

Should I wait or retry?

Retry an upload error after checking its cause. For a safety check in progress, wait for the result instead of adding duplicate files.
