Seller guide

Add terms and policies for your store

Review your business details, store terms and buyer rules before publishing.

The 30-second answer

Open Store policies from Your page. Add accurate business and contact details, then review the starting terms and privacy text or paste your own. Save the reviewed policy draft before publishing. Templates need your review for your business and customers; they do not promise legal compliance everywhere.

Name the business buyers are dealing with

Use accurate business identity and support contact details. Your connected creator account is the seller for direct-charge sales. Aksara provides the software and receives its application fee. Completing this page does not replace Stripe identity and bank verification or any applicable tax registration.

Review your starting text

Use the guided starting templates or paste custom text. Read every section, adapt it to the goods or calls you sell and confirm your review before saving. The templates are starting points. Your legal duties depend on your business, buyers and locations; Aksara does not claim that one template satisfies every jurisdiction.

Make the offer's rules clear

Explain what the buyer receives and any license, refund or cancellation rules that apply. Product-specific rules should agree with your store terms. Restrictive wording does not remove mandatory consumer rights or review for non-delivery, misleading descriptions, corrupt files or duplicate charges.

Publish the reviewed version

Store policy text remains a private draft until publication. Your page links to hosted creator terms and privacy notices. Checkout validates the displayed terms and offer versions before accepting an order. A stale checkout requires a fresh review. Each new order retains the terms and buyer rules accepted for that purchase.

What success looks like

Buyers can read the published creator policies and contact the seller. New orders retain the agreement version shown at checkout.

Common questions

Do Stripe's terms replace my store terms?

No. Stripe's payment terms, Aksara's platform terms and your creator terms cover different relationships.

Can I change a past buyer's agreement by editing my terms?

No. New publications apply to new purchases. Existing orders retain their original agreement evidence. Historical orders without that evidence are not assigned invented consent.

Must every creator hire a lawyer to use the editor?

Aksara does not require a legal-service purchase to prepare a page. You remain responsible for reviewing policies and obtaining advice appropriate to your business before selling.
